Diva Andaman

    Diva Andaman

Diva Andaman is a wooden sailing vessel and built in 2009. As a result of design and layout, this is one of the most beautiful liveaboards sailing the Andaman Sea. The capacity is a maximum of 12 guests that are taken care of by 10 crewmembers while on board. Because of the high ratio of crew to guests in combination with the design, you feel the comfort and luxury the moment you step onboard Diva Andaman. It is a liveaboard Myanmar, and the Similan are well known to and will provide you with an unforgettable dive holiday.

Accommodation

Diva Andaman has 7 cabins below deck with portholes for ambient light. The cabins have either a double bed or a bunk bed for single guests. The ensuite bathrooms have hot water showers and a washbasin. Rather than bringing your toiletries Diva Andaman provides natural soap and shampoo during your stay. While relaxing in the cabin, you can enjoy a movie on the plasma tv and take a refreshment out of the mini bar. The general air-conditioning keeps the cabins cool during the day and night.

Comfort

The lounge area is the main meeting area on this liveaboard dive briefings are given here as well as it is an excellent place to relax in between the dives. At the large table people often sit to either read a book or edit photos from the previous dive. When you like to know the name of the marine life you saw you can either look in the library or ask your dive guide. Also, there is an entertainment system where you can enjoy watching a movie or turn on your favourite music. For refreshments, there are fully stocked fridges with soft drinks and beers as well as a fine selection of wines. For those who like something stronger, there are several spirits and the staff can prepare you some cocktails.

The sundeck is the best place if you like to sunbathe or catch ocean breeze while cruising to the next dive site. On the main deck is the shaded area where you can lay down and enjoy a traditional Thai massage. The upper deck is more for those who like to work on their tan or look at the sun go down while drinking a glass of wine.

For those who like to be a bit more active in between dives, there are kayaks available to paddle around as well as plenty of opportunities to snorkel. The itinerary also gives you some time to visit a beach on the islands.

Catering

Also in the lounge is the open kitchen where the chef on board prepares 4 meals a day. Before the first dive, there is a continental breakfast and the staff can make you a coffee with the espresso machine. After the first dive, you can enjoy a buffet style breakfast with freshly made croissants and bread. While filling up your plate, you can order eggs the way you like them best. Also served in a buffet style is lunch in a mix of Thai and Western cuisine. Dinner is a set menu with appetiser, main meal and desert. This is either Thai or Western cuisine. If the weather allows dinner is served on the sundeck so, you can enjoy your dinner while watching the stars in the sky.

Diving

On the stern of Diva Andaman is the dive deck spread out over 2 levels. Here you find 12 litres as well as 15 litres tanks. They are filled with either air or Nitrox. If you, not Nitrox certified yet, you could do the course, and other courses while on the liveaboard. For rinsing off after the dive, there is a freshwater shower and bucket for your dive equipment. Rental equipment is free of charge so can travel light to Diva Andaman.

Because of the use of a tender to bring you and pick you up from the dive site long surface swims are avoided. The diving groups are a maximum of 4 divers to 1 dive guide. Therefore, you can expect all attention you need and plenty of marine life is spotted for you.
