Amira

  • Amira Liveaboard Indonesia

AMIRA; ADMIRATION AND RESPECT FOR NATURE’S DELICATE AFFLUENCE.

With 52 meters of sheer beauty and elegance, this schooner brings you to the best diving spots of eastern Indonesia and the Moluccas. She was traditionally built in Sulawesi in 2010 and equipped with state of the art navigation- and security techniques. Destinations include Raja Ampat, Misool, Triton bay, Banda sea, Komodo, Cenderawasih bay, Halmahera, Alor and all of the Forgotten island. Preservation of these sites and ecological awareness are of great importance to the Amira enterprise. Journeys vary from 11 to 13 nights. The maximum number of guests is 19 during our standard trips and possibly more as a charter.

ACCOMMODATION

Our cabins have an individual controlled air conditioning system and en-suite bathroom with shower and toilet. The abundant use of indigenous tropical wood creates an atmosphere of luxury and extravagance. 7 cabins on the lower deck have portholes for natural light. 4 cabins on the upper deck have large windows. We have a choice of double and 1 single cabin. All our double cabins can be set as either twin or double bed. The sizes vary between 10 and 14 sqm.

COMFORT

25 friendly and competent crewmembers take care of your wellbeing during the journey. Most of them are multilingual. Communal areas include a bar/restaurant, a lounge with TV and library and also a briefing lounge to prepare you for the next diving challenge. On deck are several relaxing spaces, both sunny and shaded. Massages can be enjoyed on our liveaboard.

CATERING

Healthy and delicious food is served 4 times a day. We offer a light breakfast before the first dive. After the first dive, we have a cooked breakfast made to order. Lunch is usually served as a buffet with a great choice of dishes. Dinner can be a 4-course meal as well as a buffet, or even a barbeque on the beach.

DIVING

The practical designed dive deck offers a huge space for divers and guides. There are storage areas for cameras, dive lamps etc. and enough rinse tanks and showers. The diving equipment stays mounted on the tank during the whole trip and the tanks are filled in situ with air or nitrox. The camera room has a large workbench as well as downloading possibilities. A selection of dive courses is available onboard, among which a rebreather course. A typical diving day consists of four dives including one night dive. 3 zodiacs bring small groups to the selected diving grounds. Land excursions are optional but very much recommended.
